Einstein: If ‘A’ Equals Success, Then…

If A equal success, then the formula is: A = X + Y + Z. X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut. – Albert Einstein.

“Sport is play. As children we thought of running around and moving as play, and we loved to do it. As adults we call it exercise. The fun is often sucked out of it and the effort is perceived as drudgery. Bring the fun and playfulness back into the activity.”

The thought, above, comes from Chistopher Bergland’s book: The Athlete’s Way – Sweat and the Biology of Bliss. I’ve really enjoyed this book as Bergland’s book has some good ideas in it on training and athlete development. Admittedly, it’s a tough one for me to read – especially since it gets really science-y. But, that’s an area of improvement for me. Still not done it, but thought worth sharing the title in the interim.
